Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the app uses and who it is shared with. In short: you do not create an account, we have no servers, and what you enter is never sent to us.

What is stored on your device

The following is kept only on your device, in the app's local storage (MMKV), and is not sent to us or anyone else:

• Your name (optional; only used inside the app to address you, e.g. in greetings and reminder texts)
• Your weight and height
• Your daily water goal
• Your water log (amounts and times)
• Your settings (units, reminder times, chosen bottle/world/theme, etc.)
• The items you own and a local copy of your Premium status

Health-related information

Your weight and height are used only on your device to calculate your daily water goal (weight × 35 ml). They are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties. The app does not access Apple Health (HealthKit) data.

Gulp Gulp Ahh is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The suggested goal is a general estimate; talk to a healthcare professional about your own needs.

Notifications

Water reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS; they are not sent from a server. You can turn notifications off anytime in iOS Settings.

Purchases and subscription

One-time purchases and the Premium subscription are processed by Apple (App Store); we never see your payment details. To verify and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which processes a randomly generated anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription status (transaction information from Apple) and the basic technical information needed for the service to work. Your name, weight, height and water log are not sent to RevenueCat. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve, frequency-cap and measure ads, Google may process your advertising identifier (IDFA — only if you allow tracking), approximate location derived from your IP address, device information and usage/diagnostic data. This data is processed by Google under Google's policies: policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Premium subscribers see no ads.

Consent: ATT and ad consent

Before any tracking for advertising, we ask for your permission with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, your IDFA is not shared; ads may be shown without personalisation and you can keep using the app. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Where required (e.g. the EU/EEA and the UK), an ad consent form is also shown through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Deleting your data

Because your information stays on your device, deleting the app deletes all of its local data. We hold no data about you. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. For data processed by Google or RevenueCat, see their policies above or email us.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
